星語り [HOSHIGATARI] — Star Tale
Under a night sky of deep blue-green, a narrow path runs between the fields toward a lone tree on the horizon. Two small figures walk along it, the ground around them glowing with scattered points of light, while the lights of a distant town trace the horizon and a single bright star hangs above the tree. Hoshigatari means “a tale told by the stars.”
Of the star paintings, Saito writes: “We are here. And before us is the source of our life, which keeps shining on everything without reserve.” The series began with a quiet moment on a night bus, when the moon suddenly appeared from a grove of trees, overflowing with light.

About the artist
Kazu Saito is a Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) artist based in Kyoto. Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1960, Saito studied Nihonga at Kyoto City University of Arts. Since 1997, Saito has painted lanterns dedicated to the Motomiya Festival at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Saito has also painted sliding-door and wall panels for Buddhist temples, and Saito's work is held in the collection of Kyoto Prefecture.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition as received, and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase.

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
Once your return is approved and the item has been received and inspected, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Non-Returnable Items
Due to the made-to-order nature of our artworks, we do not accept returns or exchanges for customer-related reasons such as change of mind, size preference, or ordering errors.

To keep your print looking its best for many years, please follow these guidelines.

- Let the print rest flat for a while before framing, so that the paper can naturally relax from the rolled state.

- To remove dust, gently brush the surface with a soft, dry cloth or duster; do not use water, cleaning sprays, or solvents on the paper.
